Configuring Eudora for LMi.net

Eudora is a popular and feature-rich email program for the Mac and Windows. Below are our instructions for setting up Eudora for use with your LMi.net email account. These instructions were created using Eudora 7.0 on the PC, and the settings in #7 below are also applicable for the Mac.

1. Open Eudora. If this is the first time using the program, you'll see a "New Account Wizard" window. If not, skip to #7.

2. In "Account Settings", click Next. In "Personal Information", enter your full name then click Next.

3. In "Email Address", enter your LMi.net address (for example, frankb@lmi.net), then click Next.

4. In "User Name", enter your username (the part of your email address before the @; for example, frankb), then click next.

5. In "Incoming Mail Server", enter pop.lmi.net, then click Next.

6. In "Outgoing Mail Server", enter smtp.lmi.net, and leave "Allow Authorization" checked, then click Next, then click Finish.

7. If needed, you can verify or change your settings by clicking the Tools menu and opening Options (or on a Mac, the Eudora menu and open Preferences), then entering the settings under "Gettings Started", as shown below:
