Windows 10 comes with the Mail app pre-installed.. Just hit the Windows key and type “Mail” in the Search field.
If you are using an LMi.net email address:
- Click the Setting icon (the gear at the bottom left on the Mail window)
- Click Manage Accounts, then Add Account.
- Select “Other account”
- Enter your email address, real name (or the name you want your outgoing email to come from) and your email password.
- All the server settings will be added autmatically. This will be an IMAP account.
If you are using an email address under you own domain but hosted at LMi.net:
- Click the Setting icon (the gear at the bottom left on the Mail window)
- Click Manage Accounts, then Add Account.
- Click “Advanced Setup” at the bottom.
- Click “Internet email”
- Enter…
- Your email address.
- Your Username, or server login name. (usually your full email address)
- Your password.
- Account name, or label. (i.e “My work email”)
- Send your message using the name. (usually your actual real name)
- Incoming email server: mail.lmi.net
- Account type (select POP3 or IMAP4 – unsure which to choose?)
- Outgoing (SMTP) email server: mail.lmi.net
- All 4 check box options at the bottom should be left ON
- Click Sign In, and then Done.
