Windows 10 Mail

Windows 10 comes with the Mail app pre-installed.. Just hit the Windows key and type “Mail” in the Search field.

If you are using an LMi.net email address:

 

  • Click the Setting icon (the gear at the bottom left on the Mail window)
  • Click Manage Accounts, then Add Account.
  • Select “Other account”
  • Enter your email address, real name (or the name you want your outgoing email to come from) and your email password.
  • All the server settings will be added autmatically. This will be an IMAP account.

 

If you are using an email address under you own domain but hosted at LMi.net:

 

  • Click the Setting icon (the gear at the bottom left on the Mail window)
  • Click Manage Accounts, then Add Account.
  • Click “Advanced Setup” at the bottom.
  • Click “Internet email”
  • Enter…
    • Your email address.
    • Your Username, or server login name. (usually your full email address)
    • Your password.
    • Account name, or label. (i.e “My work email”)
    • Send your message using the name. (usually your actual real name)
    • Incoming email server: mail.lmi.net
    • Account type (select POP3 or IMAP4 – unsure which to choose?)
    • Outgoing (SMTP) email server: mail.lmi.net
    • All 4 check box options at the bottom should be left ON
  • Click Sign In, and then Done.
